How it works

1. Scan a document with your camera, or pick a PDF or photo you already have.
2. Add a cover page if you need one, and enter the recipient's fax number.
3. Send. You'll get a notification the moment it's delivered — or if it isn't.

Sending works to the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, and Japan. Subscribers also get a personal fax number for receiving faxes in the US or Canada.

What makes this different

• The price is shown before you scan. Not after you've done the work — which is when most fax apps spring a subscription on you.
• One free test fax. Every new account sends a real fax to our own test line, free, so you can confirm it works before spending a cent.
• Credits never expire. Buy 10 pages, use two this year and eight next year. They're yours.
• No weekly subscription. Deliberately. The weekly tier is the category's most complained-about trick, and we don't offer one.
• Automatic refunds. If a fax fails after all delivery attempts, your credits come back on their own. You don't have to ask.
• Your price stays your price. If we raise prices later, your active subscription keeps the rate you signed up at.

Questions, problems, or a fax that didn't arrive? Email support@honestfax.app and a real person will read it. Please include the date and the recipient's fax number so we can look up the delivery record.

To delete your account and everything in it: open the app, go to the Info tab, and tap Delete account. It's immediate and permanent — you don't need to email us for it.

About HonestFax — a plain summary

HonestFax is a mobile app for sending and receiving faxes digitally, without a fax machine. You scan a paper document with your phone's camera (or attach a PDF or photo), enter the recipient's fax number, and the service transmits it as a real fax over the telephone network. Delivery status is tracked in the app, with a notification when the fax is delivered or fails.

Faxes can be sent to the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, and Japan. Receiving is available with the Pro subscription, which includes a personal fax number (US and Canada numbers at launch); incoming faxes appear in the app as PDFs.

Pricing is deliberately transparent, in a category known for hidden weekly subscriptions: either pay-per-use credits that never expire (single fax $2.99, 10 pages $4.99, 30 pages $9.99) or a subscription ($12.99/month or $79.99/year, fair-use 500 pages/month). There is no weekly subscription. The price is always shown before you scan, every new user gets one free test fax before any payment, failed faxes are refunded automatically, and existing subscribers keep their price if prices ever rise.
