Terms of Use

Applies to: HonestFax — Send Fax from Phone ("HonestFax," "we," "us")

By using HonestFax, you agree to these terms. Please read them — we've tried to write them the way we'd want to read them: plainly, and without hiding the parts that matter.

1. The Service

HonestFax lets you send faxes from documents, photos, or scans on your phone, and — for subscribers — receive faxes to a personal fax number. The service is available in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, and Japan.

2. Accounts

HonestFax creates an anonymous account for you automatically; no sign-up is required. You are responsible for your device and for any activity that happens through your account.

3. Pricing — How We Charge You

Credits. Credits are purchased individually (single fax, 10-page pack, 30-page pack) and never expire. One page sent or received costs one credit. The price is always shown before you send — there is no charge you didn't see coming.

Subscription (HonestFax Pro). Available monthly or yearly. A subscription includes unlimited* sending, a personal fax number for receiving, and priority support. There is no weekly subscription tier.

*"Unlimited" is subject to a fair use limit of 500 pages per month. Usage significantly beyond normal individual use may be subject to review or a request to upgrade to a higher tier if one becomes available.

Free test fax. Every new account gets one free fax to our verified test line, at no cost and no credit charge, so you can confirm the app works before paying for anything.

Auto-refund. If a fax fails after all delivery attempts, the credits you were charged are automatically refunded to your balance.

Grandfathering promise. If we raise the price of credits or subscriptions in the future, your existing subscription price is honored for as long as you keep it active without a lapse. New pricing applies only to new purchases and to subscribers who resubscribe after cancelling.

4. Subscription Terms (Auto-Renewable)

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price you agreed to (subject to Section 3's grandfathering promise).
• You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your device Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, after purchase.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use HonestFax to send content that is illegal, fraudulent, harassing, or that infringes someone else's rights. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that abuse the service, attempt to defraud the free test fax, or send unsolicited bulk faxes to third parties.

6. Cancellation, Refunds, and Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Info → Delete account. This permanently removes your fax history, documents, and account data (see our Privacy Policy) and cannot be undone. Credit and subscription purchase refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policies — we cannot issue refunds directly for App Store purchases, but we do auto-refund credits for our own delivery failures per Section 3.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

HonestFax is provided "as is." We work to deliver every fax reliably, including automatic retries, but we do not guarantee delivery in every case (for example, if a recipient's line is unreachable). To the maximum extent permitted by law, HonestFax is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including consumer protection laws in the EU/UK).

8. Changes to the Service or These Terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. If changes are material, we'll notify you in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts of Israel have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

This does not take away rights you have where you live. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts. Nothing in this section overrides those rights.
